The Connie was used after the Koren war by HQ, Pacific Air Command until end 1965, when she was declared surplus and transferred to MASDC, Davis Monthan for storage. Transferred to NASA as NASA422 1966 and in use for the Apollo flights (Apollo 11 program) until end of 1969. The aircraft is now on display at the Planes of Fame Air Museum at Valle, AZ airport and kept in operational (but not airworthy) condition
