G-AIVO (228) In March 1960 the Cunard Steamship Company bought a 60% interest in the Eagle Group of companies, which resulted in a new company colour scheme and titles as can be seen on G-AIVO. In February 1963 Harold Bamberg, the previous owner of Eagle Airways, bought the 60% Cunard share of the business, but it was not till August 1963 before this buy-back was complete and the name changed to British Eagle Airlines.
