G-APEF (709) Typical London Airport view, note the Skyways L749 Constellation and KLM DC-8 in the background - the Jet era was just starting. Photo is old 120 Agfa (I think) film, rather grainy. Nickname for the Vanguard was "Guardsvan" yet a great aircraft to fly in and quite fast. London Airport was the name in use during this period, London Heathrow came later.
