C-FLYL The Hawaii Mars was in in Steveston, South Richmond, BC on March 23-24 for a 24 hour visit in support of the Canadian Olympic Committee's Paint the Town Red campaign, as well to celebrate the City of Richmond's 100 years of powered flight. On both days the Mars put an a waster scoop and drop show. On the 24th, she did a fantastic 30 minute engine warm up infront of a few hundred people. How often do you see Empress Class flying boat perform in this day and age? This was a once-in-a-lifetime event. Unbelievable! Kudos to the City of Richmond.
