Skytrader A319 Hobart to Antarctica

5 Attachment(s)
Here are some shots of the Skytrader's Airbus 319 landing on the blue ice
runway of the Wilkes runway, at the Casey base, in the Antarctic

It operates between Oct & March, each year, between Hobart/HBA & Wilkes in Antarctica.

It's a 4.30 hour flight, each way! Return fuel must always be carried in the
event of a sudden, adverse weather condition preventing a landing

Th aircraft can accommodate between 30 thru 60 PAXX , but it's
predominantly a freighter (ie a Combi!)
